To encourage ongoing skill development, The Therapy Place will be offering social skills groups year round.
The curriculum is designed for more in-depth social interaction and will include concepts from the ILAUGH program.
Topcs include:
- Understanding others perspectives
- Making good impressions
- Thinking of others and recognizing what others think of them
- Problem Solving
- Managing stress/anxiety
- Starting, maintaining and ending conversations
- Recognizing and using non-verbal cues
- Strategies for organization and motivation

Our Speech Buddies group was such a success this summer, we are offering another group this fall!
The Speech Buddies group is designed to be an additional, early-intervention speech and language therapy program, specifically designed for young children who demonstrate delays in their speech and language development. It is offered in a peer group format to encourage learning and practice through play. The peer group format is structured to provide language rich, play-based speech activities with a focus on a different sound or sound pattern each week. These activities may include: movement activities, games, art projects, songs, books and snacks.
