Summer Groups
The Therapy Place is offering socialskills groups for children ages 7-9 and 9-12. The curriculum will includeconcepts from the ILAUGH program. Emphasis of the group will be on starting,maintaining and ending conversations, recognizing and using non verbal cues,turn taking, as well as strategies for organization and motivation.
- Dates:Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 24-July 31 (No groups July 1 or 3)
- Ages 7-9:2:00-3:15
- Ages 9-12:3:30-4:45
- Cost:$400

Dianna Michels, an occupational therapy assistant,teacher and autism consultant for Minnetonka Schools will again be leading ourgroups. The Therapy Place has been fortunate to have Dianna’s expertise inleading our groups for the past decade.

The peer play group will include structured play opportunities appropriate for eachchild in the group with an emphasis on social behavior, cooperative play andsocial skills.
