Lynn Kopfmann, OTR/L, has been an occupational therapist
for more than 20 years and is a specialist in the area of
sensory integration. Lynn established The Therapy Place
in 1996 as a child-centered outpatient clinic designed to
maximize the effectiveness of the therapy experience for
children, while nurturing the joy and playfulness that is
the cornerstone of childhood.

Jennifer Annunziata, MS,OTR/L, has her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She has had experience in pediatric occupational therapy, adult inpatient occupational therapy, and outpatient hand therapy. Jenny's professional interests, with regard to children, include sensory integration, fine motor development, and any type of therapy involving the use of music. Her favorite part of working with children is watching them get excited when they learn new skills as well as laughing with them! Jennifer is also a certified provider of Interactive Metronome.
Shaunda Brekke, OTR/L has a BS in occupational therapy from the
University of North Dakota. She has experience in a wide variety of settings, including acute rehab, outpatient rehab, and school systems, as well as training in sensory integration treatment. Shaunda also has training in therapeutic listening and has participated in training in CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. She feels that the most rewarding part of her job is when a child finds success performing new activities and begins to explore his/her environment more effectively.

Christina Duffy is enjoying her new position as the office administrator! "I enjoy seeing all the clients on a daily basis, this is a new setting for me and I smile everyday thinking of what the therapists do here!" Christina spends her free time with her husband, daughter and two dogs. She also loves to travel and meet new people. Christina says she is "happy to be part of the team!"
Elizabeth Tickle, M.A. CCC/SLP, has a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She has experience with a wide variety of diagnoses and settings. She enjoys working with both children and adults. Elizabeth has additional training and experience with the SOS feeding approach, Therapeutic Listening, and the Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration method (MNRI) developed by Dr. Svetlana Masgutova. MNRI classes Elizabeth has taken include, Integration of Infant Dynamic and Postural Reflex Patterns, Integration of Lifelong Reflexes into Movement Development, Tactile Integration, and MNRI Oral-Facial Reflex Integration I & II. She is also trained in the Castillo-Morales orofacial treatment. She enjoys working with all individuals, helping them to reach their fullest potential.

Angela Ellingson, MS, OTR/L, has a master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. She has experience in outpatient pediatric therapy as well as inpatient physical rehabilitation and mental health. Angie has training in the Tactile Integration Protocol, Therapeutic Listening, and The Listening Program. She especially enjoys sensory integration and feeding therapy. She loves being able to help children increase their independence and skills in daily tasks and enjoys the unique perspectives and questions that children have!
Jackie Hillstrom, MA, OTR/L has a master's degree in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN. She has experience in pediatric occupational therapy, as well as adult inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy. Her interests include sensory integration, therapeutic listening and research. "Working with children and their families is a remarkable experience. Involvement in helping a child acquire new skills, master emerging skills and become more independent and confident in their environment is very rewarding." |

Teresa Koppang, M.S. CCC/SLP, has a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. She taught upper elementary and middle school children for 12 years before becoming a speech therapist. She has experienced the job in hospital rehab, clinical, and school settings. Teresa has worked with a variety of diagnoses including Autism, Cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, and stroke patients. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages with varying needs, providing them with every opportunity to communicate to their fullest potential.
Tyler Kielb is a graduate of Minnesota Life College and has worked in hospital-based rehab. His area of specialty is "relating to patients of all abilities and ages to form group goals and reach them. I set up therapy materials and equipment, and I clean up after sessions. I love working with the kids."

Summer Kopfmann is business administrator at The Therapy Place. She also developed and facilitates the clinic's yoga program. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Summer, has worked with students ranging from toddlers to adults. Summer also is the Spanish interpreter/translator at The Therapy Place.
Melissa Lammer, MHS.CCC.SLP has a masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She has worked in early childhood special education for seven years with a primary focus on autism. Melissa has also worked at Bay Cliff Health camp for several summers where an intense team approach was used for children with a variety of disorders including cerebral palsy and Down Syndrome. "I absolutely love working with children and motivating them to reach their goals. The best part is feeling their excitement when they have accomplished a new task".

Jodi Lawyer, MA, OTR/L has a master's degree in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. She has experience in pediatric occupational therapy, as well as adult inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy. Her interests include sensory integration, autism spectrum disorder and fine motor development. Jodi feels the most rewarding part of the job is watching a child's eyes light up when they acquire a new skill and cultivating confidence to try a new activity.
Brea Maday, MA, CCC-SLP earned her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and has worked at The Therapy Place since 1998. She has been a part of the feeding evaluation team since 2002 and has helped facilitate numerous feeding groups utilizing the SOS approach to feeding. Brea has experience working with children with a variety of challenges including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, and Down's Syndrome. In addition, she has experience treating adults with eating disorders such as Anorexia and Bulimia. She is a Core Specialist in the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) Method and is also an instructor of MNRI Oral-Facial Reflex Integration Program.
